Teach me how to whisper

Teach me how to whisper
so I can learn to be gentle with myself.

Teach me how to whisper
so truth and soul become one within.

Teach me how to whisper
so I speak my truth, gently, unerringly, infinitely.

Teach me how to whisper
so I may show others their beginning paths.

Teach me how to whisper
so I have no need to shout.

Teach me how to whisper.

“Grace is available for each of us every day - our spiritual daily bread - but we've got to remember to ask for it with a grateful heart and not worry about whether there will be enough for tomorrow.”    Sarah Ban Breathnach

I stand looking in the mirror, at these lines upon my face, wondering if in this lifetime, I will find peace and grace.

Ask for what you want

Ask for what you want. Do not assume that you must "make do" with a second choice.
~Mary Kane Radmacher

As women, we are caregivers. That is the role we are taught whether we work at home or outside of the home. We are taught to put others' needs before our own. We then treat ourselves as "second best". Put yourself  first. You are no good to anyone else until you do.

First there is burnout, then anger, followed by depression. Stop the cycle. Your emotional and physical needs come first. Exercise, take a class, learn a craft. The more your needs are met, the more balanced you become. When you are in balance the stressors of life can be prioritized - either by discarding that which i...s not worthy or handling those things deemed worth your time and effort.

Karen's g'baby

04/29/10 Ken update

Great news from yesterday's Cleveland Clinic trip with Ken!  The spinal tap was clear!!!  NO MS!

Still several issues ongoing.  Returning to Cleveland Clinic to see a specialist for tremors the end of May.  Ken's has a familial essential tremor.  They do want to rule out Parkinson's-like and other related tremor issues.  Parkinson's has already been ruled out.  But there are others that are related which could be the cause so the docs want to discredit those as well.

The rest is vascular issues related to his uncontrolled diabetics, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and being overweight.

Thank you for all your prayers.
